German Tactician Gernot Rohr has agreed to sign a new contract with the super eagles, but there are uncertainties surrounding the deal.
Rohr is set to sign a new contract with the Super Eagles that will see him take charge of the Nigeria National team for another 2 years.
The 66-year-old was given new conditions under his new contract, which he did accept according to the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
A statement from NFF had stated that the contract talk will be finalised by next week according to French daily Le Equipe.
“The executive committee has mandated the secretary-general to liaise with Super Eagles technician Gernot Rohr to conclude all questions regarding his new contract in the coming week,” NFF said in a statement released on Tuesday.
But, according to a report from The Punch, the federal ministry of sports are interested in bringing English man Harry Redknapp to replace Rohr.
Gernot Rohr was appointed as the Super Eagles manager on August 2016 by Amaju Pinnick, lead Nigeria Football Federation.
