Four times African football player of the year excited to make Forbes under 30 list

Four times African football player of the year, Assisat Oshoala was filled with excitement as she expressed her joy on social media “Twitter” for making the list of Forbes Africa 30 under 30

The FORBES AFRICA 30 Under 30 list is the most-anticipated list of game-changers on the continent and on the hunt for 30 of Africa’s brightest achievers under the age of 30 that includes Business, Technology, Creatives, and Sport.

“Superzee”, as she is popularly, called was awarded along with 29 others under 30 winners in their different careers and the list included nine Nigerians.

The 25-year-old, Super Falcons skipper has been voted African Women’s Footballer of the Year four times and was bestowed the national honor (MON) when she was still a teenager.

Oshoala started her illustrious career at FC Robo Queens a women’s association football club based in Mushin Lagos State and has had a successful career in Liverpool ladies, Arsenal ladies and currently plays Barcelona Femeni in Spain elite division

And she has also made a name in Nigeria football, winning four African women championship with the female National team.


“(Oshoala) has built a successful career and become a titan of Nigerian football.

“On the pitch, with speed, technique, and balance, Oshoala is definitely a keeper. according to Forbes

The striker registered 20 goals in 19 appearances for the Spanish club before the league games were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
