Massimo Moratti, former inter Milan President, is confident the Italian club can sign the Barcelona star this summer.
The Argentine rejected a switch according to a claim that comes 14 years after Inter triggered Messi’s £132million release clause as an 18-year-old is 2006.according to Mirror.

In the meantime, the possibility of Messi agreeing and signing a new Barcelona season looks unlikely, especially after rowing with some board members this season, it was made obvious during players’ wage cut due to the coronavirus.
“I don’t believe Messi is a forbidden dream at all. Maybe it never was even before all this misfortune. Moratti told Radio RAI
Messi has a contract with Barcelona till June 2021 but may want to face a new challenge by moving to the Italian club.

“He is in the final stretch of his contract and, without doubt, it would take a tremendous effort to bring him here. I don’t know if the current situation changes anything for better or for worse.
Barcelona has been linked to Inter forward lautaro Martinez and the ex-Inter president believes that can open the door for the Argentine deal.
“But I think we will see some strange things at the end of the year. Martinez is a good boy who cares about his career.
“But we will see if he’s part of a deal to bring in more important players like Messi.”
