La Liga has announced that Five players from Spain’s two top divisions have tested positive for COVID-19
As a first step towards a return for league games in Spain, Test was conducted across all 42 training ground across the country.
Clubs in the league returned to training grounds for individuals this week after they were given green light by the government. There are plans for games to return in June as announced by la Liga President Javier Tebas
The unnamed player’s are said to be asymptomatic and in the final phase of the disease.
However, the will go into quarantine and unable to return to group training until tested negative.
A statement from Laliga read “Between the clubs, five positive cases have been detected among players, all of them asymptomatic and in the final stage of the illness,”
Some teams returned to individual training last week including Barcelona and Real Madrid
Spain currently has 264663 confirmed cases and 26261 recorded deaths.
