Europa League:kelechi Iheanacho bags a brace as Leicester City  defeats Braga 4-0

Kelechi Iheanacho scored twice and an assist as Leicester City continued their good form in the Europa League beating Portuguese club Braga 4-0 on Thursday night.

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho was on target twice for the foxes in Leicester’s 40 victory over Braga in the Europa League on Thursday night at the King Power stadium.

Iheanacho continued his impressive form in the European league where he had previously scored a goal and two assists on the opening day of the competition.

The 26-year-old opened the scoring in the 21st minute of play after wonderful teamwork from Brendan Rodgers’s side. The former Manchester City forward was once again on target thanks to a deflection, three minutes into the second half to make it 2-0 in favor of the host.

Iheanacho turned provider for Dennis Peret who netted Leicester’s third of the night. The Nigerian international was substituted in the 70th minute as he was replaced by Ayoze Perez.

His departure from the pitch did not prevent the foxes from adding another goal and recording an emphatic win NCas James Madison scored to make it 4-0.

Leicester City have now recorded three wins in three matches in the Europa League topping Group G with nine points.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers said: “We had to work for it and in the end, we were very good. In the second half, we were very dynamic and created a number of chances.

“There are no selection headaches, the players that have come in have been absolutely outstanding. It is a long season and we need them all.”
