It’s no secret that the club is keen to add a striker to their attack this summer, and there has been much speculation in the media that Haaland is the number one summer transfer target.

Having made a name for himself at Borussia Dortmund, Haaland is now one of the best, most dangerous and most sought-after players in world football and is constantly in the headlines.

It has been reported recently that Roman Abramovic has even released funds in order to get a deal done, believing that the German outfit will aloow Haaland to leave for a fee of around £150 million.

However, Dortmund have repeatedly insisted that a prized asset will not be sold this summer, and Kehl reiterated that stance before their opening pre-season friendly against FC Giessen on Tuesday night.

Asked for an update on Haaland’s future, the BVB chief told Sky Germany: “There is nothing new on this matter. He is in our plans. Erling will return this week and he will be very hungry.

“He wants to play football, he feels comfortable with us and he will be eager to score many goals.”

However ,there have been reports out of Germany suggesting Dortmund would accept an offer of £150 million this summer. Haaland has a release clause of £68 million which becomes active next year and he is expected to leave by next summer.

His agent Mino Raiola also remains tight-lipped over any move, replying to questions over the Chelsea links: “There is nothing to say.”

Look, football is all about the money, so if the blues offer the right amount of money, Dortmund will have to accept as they risk losing their star man for just £68 million next summer

Hopefully, Chelsea will offer the big money as he would be a brilliant signing and a threat to Premier League teams.
