
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea put club rivalry aside and reached out to Alisson with a heartfelt message after the Liverpool star’s father was found dead on Wednesday
The 57-year-old had been swimming in a dam on his property but was declared missing around 5 p.m. Wednesday according to reports.
The Local police have confirmed that no foul play was suspected in his death.
Alisson and his family have received messages of support from around the football world in the wake of the tragic news, and fellow goalkeepers De Gea and Thibaut Courtois are among those who have taken to social media.
