Cristiano Ronaldo will not be available for Juventus UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona on Wednesday after he tested positive for the Covid-19 for a second time.

 

Cristiano Ronaldo’s hope of facing Barcelona in one of the most anticipated champions league features for this season has been dashed after testing positive again for the Covid-19.

The 35-year-old first tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic a fortnight ago and was forced to self-isolate for 14 days.

 

Juventus will host Barcelona at the Turin Stadium on Wednesday, and many had hoped to see Ronaldo face his arch-rival Messi in the encounter since his departure from Real Madrid in 2018.

 

However, the former Manchester United forward tested positive for the Covid-19 on Tuesday and will not be opportune to face the Argentine.

 

Ronaldo has missed three matches so far, one with the Portuguese national team and two for Serie A champions Juventus.

The result for the coronavirus came back positive despite following the protocol for two weeks of self-isolation.

 

The old lady’s will be without their point man as they look to go clear of Barcelona, both teams have 3 points each following a victory in each of their opening matches.

 

Barcelona’s are coming from a 3-1 loose to rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish league and hopefully return to winning ways.

Juventus on the hand are without a win in their last two matches in Serie A, playing out a 1-1 draw against Crotone and Hellas Verona.
