COVID-19: Ronaldo hotel denies being used as a center for Coronovirus Victims.

Earlier today there were reports that the five-star hotel (Pestana CR7 Hotel) owned by Christiano Ronaldo had been turned into a hospital for infected Coronavirus Victims.

The Lisbon based hotel has, however, denied being used as a center for the sick.

There were claims by Spanish publication Marca that the Juventus star was ready to convert one of his two hotels into a hospital to help combat the pandemic.

As of Saturday 14th March, there were about 169 COVID-19 cases in Portugal, one recovered patience and Zero death. Most cases are in the Northern region of Porto and Capital Lisbon.

Native homes of Ronaldo, Madeira land and Acores and parts of the Mainland still have no cases and are under heightened Vigilance.

Ronaldo wrote in a post on Social media “The world is going through a very difficult moment which demands the utmost care and attention from all of us,”

I speak to you today not as a football player, but as a son, father, a human being concerned with the latest developments that is affecting the whole world.

“It is important we all follow the advice of WHO (World Health Organization) and the governing bodies on how we handle this current situation. Protecting human life must come above any other interests.

“I would like to send my thoughts to everyone who has lost someone close to them, my solidarity to those who are fighting the virus, like my team-mate Daniele Rugani, and my continued support to the amazing health professionals putting their own lives at risk to save others.”
