Christensen reveals the changes, Thomas Tuchel brought to his Chelsea team

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has revealed some of the changes Thomas Tuchel has made since joining Frank Lampard to waterproof the blues behind.

In Tuchel’s first six games at Stamford Bridge, his team had only conceded once, which happened to be an own goal scored by Antonio Rudiger in the 2-1 win against Sheffield United, meaning an opposing team is yet to score against the blues.

This record is in stark contrast to the one that contributed to Lampard’s sack.

Given the Blues conceded nine goals in their last five Premier League games of Lampard’s tenure, the sudden improvement has been very impressive.

Christensen has now analyzed how the German wants the blues to play now.

“If you don’t have to play the ball, you don’t have to, ”Christensen said on Chelsea’s official website on Tuchel’s message.

“He only said to us that we should feel good and believe in ourselves. I’ve already played in the middle of the three and I’m pretty comfortable there.

“At the moment, when we are playing good football and getting wins, it is helping us so we don’t have to do too much to change it.”

Chelsea will travel to St Mary’s on Saturday afternoon to face Southampton, whom are set to end six straight Premier League defeats.
