Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is fit to face Liverpool on Thursday, but Thiago Silva remains unavailable for the game after failing to fully recover from a thigh injury.

Hudson-Odoi was substituted at halftime of Chelsea’s goalless draw with Manchester United on Sunday and then came out with a leg strap.

But he will be in contention to start at Anfield in a game that could be central to Chelsea’s top fourΒ  hopes.

Tuchel hoped that Thiago would also participate in such an important meeting, but the club’s medical staff have advised caution against the return of the Brazilian.

Tuchel said: “Thiago made his first training with the team, but did not finish the last exercise – not of any pain or anything, just to be aware of not taking a risk.

” I assume he is in training today but he is not at 100 per cent, so he will not join the squad for Liverpool.”

Tammy Abraham is a doubt due to an ankle problem, but Chelsea have no other injury concerns.
