Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is said to be “interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach’s midfielder Jonas Hofmann”.
Gladbach’s manager Marco Rose will take over Borussia Dortmund this summer and the club fears a player exodus.
According to Bild,one of those linked to the exit, is Hofmann, who is priced at £14 million, and worked at Tuchel during his days at Dortmund.
The 28-year-old was linked to a move to Spurs in 2019 but extended his contract with Gladbach until 2023.
He has scored six goals and provided ten assists for the Bundesliga club in an impressive season.
Hofmann has no release clause in his contract and it is believed that Chelsea would be successful with a bid of around £ 14m.
Gladbach are currently seventh in the Bundesliga, but still fighting for a top 4 position and a return to the Champions League and tackle Manchester City in the round of 16 this season.
