Atalanta Andrea Rinaldi dies of brain aneurysm

Atalanta youngster Andrea Rinaldi has died after suffering brain aneurysm for three days.

Rinaldi, 19, had been on loan at Serie D-B outfit Legnano from Serie A side Atalanta.

Serie A side Atalanta has also responded to the death of their player while describing the player as one loved by everyone and a fighter even till death.

“President Antonio Percassi and the whole Atalanta family, deeply moved, send their most heartfelt sympathy to Andrea Rinaldi’s family members and AC Legnano for his passing.

“Always available and positive, he knew how to make himself well-liked by everyone.

“Just as on the pitch you were always the last to surrender, this time too you fought with all your might not to fly away too soon.”

A club statement released by Legnano on Monday, described the death of the midfielder as tragic.

“Andrea fought for three days after the illness that hit him. Unfortunately there was nothing to do,” they said.

“Just as on the pitch you were always the last to surrender, this time too you fought with all your might not to fly away too soon.”

Andrea Rinaldi feature in 23 games for Legnano in this season campaign before his tragic death.
