The Gabonese International enjoyed an impressive form last season netting 22 goals in the premier league. But has only managed a goal in open play in ten matches in the 2020/21 premier league season so far.

He has struggled for form since signing a new deal worth £350,000-per-week in September

Areteta has admitted  the forward lack of goal is his biggest challenge at the moment.

When asked if he was worried, Arteta said: “I think we all are because the main goalscorer of the club at the moment isn’t scoring goals, so my biggest concern is how to help him more to score goals because we need his goals.
