Arsenal news: Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has revealed that he is confident of sealing a new deal for his star players Aubameyang and Saka.
Arteta disclosed the news on Monday speaking via a zoom call on Arsenal official web site, in preparation of Wednesday clash against Manchester City as the premier league returns after 3 months break.
Aubameyang has been linked with a move away from the Emirate after it was reported he has not signed a new deal with the gunners.
The former Dortmund forward was urged by the Gabonese FA President in April to join a more ambitious club.
“Well, I think in a different context we would have liked to do things much quicker but obviously, we have been really tight with time and communication as well. Arteta told Arsenal .com
“We’ve had many discussions with Pierre, his family, and agent, and I’m pretty positive that we can find the right agreement for all parties.
Also speaking on Arsenal young winger Bukayo Saka the Spaniard stated that the youngster and Aubemayeng deals are of importance.
“We are trying, as a club, to finalise the deals that are more urgent and are a priority for us.
“The ones you are talking about [Bukayo and Auba] – they are both really important, not just for now but for the future of the club as well and if the club has something to announce, they will do it in the right moment.”
Arsenal are hopeful of qualifying for next season Champions League but are currently placed 9th on the premier league table with 40 points,8 points difference between them, and Chelsea who occupy the last champions league spot.
