Arteta also explained why he continues to overlook the 19-year-old Brazilian in recent Arsenal games.

Martinelli has been an unused substitute in Arsenal’s last five recent games, including against Leicester City, as goals from David Luiz, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe gave Arteta’s team all three points against the Foxes at the King.  Power Stadium.

When asked why Martinelli has left on the bench yet again, Arteta said at post-match: “Well, he needs to keep working and make it difficult for us [to leave him out].

“He’s a player that is going to give us a lot, but he needs some time. We need to find the right games for him and the right connections for him on the pitch to do what he can do best.
