
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hailed Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes as an excellent player.
Arteta said he had been the “best player” in the Premier League for “many periods” since arriving in England.
The Portuguese International joined the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon last January and firing and blazing straight away at Old Trafford. In the second half of the season he scored 12 goals.
The 26-year-old continued to impress throughout the 2020/2021 season, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists in all competitions.
Arteta spoke gleaming about Fernandes ahead of Arsenal’s clash against United on Saturday night.

“You look at the stats and what he [Fernandes] gives the team. There is no question that he has improved them dramatically and was probably the best player in the league for many periods, ”said Arteta.
“The impact it had was enormous. They paid a high price for it.”
Arsenal are expected to be without there star player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who continues to be with his mother, who is having health issues.B
