Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Ex-Super forward Nwankwo Kanu is his greatest ever January signing.
Arsene Wenger has picked Nwankwo Kano ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as his best buy in January during his days as Manager of Arsenal.
Wenger signed the former Super Eagles forward from Inter Milan in 1999 for around £4.15 million pounds as reported.
Kanu went on to score 17 goals in his first full season with the gunners and was instrumental in Arsenal win over Chelsea in the UEFA semifinals as he netted a hat trick.
When asked about his best piece of business in the January window, the French man opted for the Nigerian ahead of Aubameyang, Emmanuel Adebayor and Theo Walcott who he also signed in January transfer window.
“What a difficult question. Over 20 years, maybe Kanu. In the middle of the season. That had a big impact and he was a huge player,’ he told beIN Sport.
The Nigeria international scored 30 goals in 119 appearances in his five-year reign with the gunners.
