Mesut Ozil granted permission to travel to Turkey ahead of the FA Cup final.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been given permission to travel to Turkey after he was excluded from the gunner’s FA Cup squad.

The German International will not feature for Mikel Arteta’s team after when Arsenal takes on Chelsea in Wembley on Saturday, 1 August 2020.

According to Goal.com, the former Real Madrid winger has taken a trip to Turkey this week with the approval of Arsenal.

The 31-year-old has been frozen out of the gunners squad having not featured for the Areteta’s team since football returned due to the coronavirus pandemic.


He has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium with a number of clubs said to interested in his signature including Fernebahce and clubs in the MLS.

Ozil fired back at Arteta last month after he declared himself ready via social media in contrast to the report of the coach Mikel Arteta.

The midfielder is Arsenal’s highest-paid player pocketing a whopping £350,000 a week. He joined the Gunners from Real Madrid for a then-record fee of €47m in 2013.
