Arsenal second bid for Atletico Madrid Thomas Partey bid has been rejected
Atletico Madrid have rejected an offer for Thomas Partey from Arsenal who seek to bring the Ghanian midfielder to the Emirates.
According to the Guardian the Gunners offered Matteo Guendouzi plus £22.5million in a swap deal for the 27-year-old.
It was earlier reported that the Gunners saw an offer of €25 million-plus an unknown player turned down before the club came back with the same deal, but this time including French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.
Atletico Madrid are insisting on the €50m release clause for Partey.
Mikel Arteta has made the Ghanian international a top priority as he looks to boost his squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Partey joined the youth team of Atletico Madrid in 2011 and has 3 years left in his current contract with the Spanish giants.
