their ‘priority target and are working tremendously to sign the Rennes star midfielder this summer.

The 18-year-old became the youngest player to ever represent Rennes when he made his first-team debut against Angers back in April 2019, aged just 16 years and 4 months old.

The teenage star has gone on to establish himself as a regular for the Ligue 1 club and his performances have been closely monitored by top European club over the last two seasons, with PSG,  Real Madrid, and Manchester United all heavily linked.

According to French outlet Le 10 Sport, Arsenal are firmly in the mix and are ‘doing everything to be perfectly positioned’ for Camavinga’s signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

The report claims the Gunners have placed the highly-rated France international at the top of their wishlist and ‘a major operation is in the pipeline’ with regards to a big-money move.

The north London outfit have had a miserable season both domestically and in Europe and are expected to spend big ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, with head coach Mikel Arteta intent on overhauling his underperforming squad.

If Arsenal are to secure the services of Camavinga the deal will not come cheap for Arsenal, with Rennes demanding a fee of at least €50million their prized asset.

The French midfielder is  out of contract at Roazhon Park in 2022 and Rennes may be tempted to cash in on the Frenchman this summer as they risk losing him on a free transfer in a year’s time.

Camavinga at the weekend admitted it was flattering to see his name linked with some of Europe’s most successful and powerful teams.

“It makes you feel flattered and it is nice that teams like Real Madrid or Bayern are interested in your situation,’ he told Telefoot.

“I am not going to lie, but I have not yet decided with my family what I will do.”
