Arsenal are confident they can seal a last-minute deal for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey as they are set to meet his release clause.
Arsenal are set to complete their £45 million deal for the Atletico Madrid midfielder ahead of Monday’s 11 pm transfer deadline.
The Gunners reportedly told La Liga that they are willing to pay his release clause.
Partey had his first part of medical in Madrid and will complete further medical examination in England on arrival at Arsenal’s London Colney training base.
Arsenal are hopeful that they will pull off the deal before the 11 pm transfer deadline for the Player they have wanted to sign throughout the summer.
The addition of Partey will be a major boost to Mikel Arteta Squad, as a possible replacement for Matteo Guendouzi who has been loaned to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also set to confirm the capture of teenagers Nikolaj Duus Moller and Omar Rekik.
