Arsenal set to return to the Colney training ground from next week

Arsenal players are set to return to London Colney training ground from next week but will continue to train individually in accordance with the government guidelines on social distancing.

Access will be granted to Arsenal players from next week to train at Colney, the permit will be limited and ensured that social distancing is maintained due to the COVID-19

“Players will be permitted access to our London Colney training grounds next week. Said the club spokesman.

“Access will be limited, carefully managed, and social distancing will be maintained at all times.

“All Colney buildings remain closed. Players will travel alone, do their individual workout, and return home,” he added.

The Premier League has been suspended since March and this has forced players to train at their respective homes.

The Gunners first-team players and head coach Mikel Arteta alongside his other staff reached a mutual agreement which will see a 12.5% reduction in their total annual income.

Premier League still remains in uncertainty as no date has been fixed for the return of the league.

The United Kingdom has recorded 148,377 confirmed cases and over 20,000 death as a result of the deadly pandemic.
