Arsenal players and Coaches agree to a wage cut

After some discussion Arsenal players and Coaches have volunteered to a wage cut amid the Covid-19

Arsenal has announced that players and coaches have reached an agreement on a wage cut that will come into effect this month.

The Gunner first-team players and head coach Mikel Arteta alongside his other staff reached a mutual agreement which will see a 12.5% reduction in their total annual income.

The London club assured the players and coaches a repay in the agreed amount if specific targets are met in the seasons ahead.

A club statement read “If we meet specific targets in the seasons ahead, primarily linked to success on the pitch, the club will repay agreed amounts. We will be able to make those repayments as hitting these targets, which the players can directly influence, will mean our financial position will be stronger. 

The management applauded the players and staff for making the decision to support the team amid the coronavirus.

‘We are proud and grateful to our players and staff for pulling together to support our club, our people and our community in these unprecedented times which are some of the most challenging we have faced in our history. “
