Arsenal defender William Saliba received a one-month suspended sanction after the French Football Federation (FFF) opened an investigation into an X-rated video that was circulated on social media.

The short clip, believed to be around three years old, showed Saliba filming himself in the locker room of a French youth team before looking at another player sitting naked masturbating while he watched the video.

The video was initially posted and then deleted on Saliba’s Snapchat, the clip resurfaced earlier this year and was widely shared on social media.

The FFF set up a committee to investigate the video and have considered it “harmful to the image of the federation and of football as a whole.”

According to RMC Sports, the commission has reached a verdict, handing Saliba a one-month ban from selection for the French national team at all age groups over the video though it has been suspended meaning he will not face any time on the sidelines.

Brighton teenager Ulrick Eneme Ella, was also punished for his role in the clip and has been handed a three-month suspension, only one of which is suspended.
