Arsenal have announced the signing of Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has left the La Liga giants in a bid for regular playing time.
Odegaard made just nine appearances in all competitions for Madrid this season.
His decision to join the Gunners was aided by a chat with the Arsenal manager.
“I spoke to him (Arteta) before coming here, of course,” Odegaard told the Arsenal website.
