Willian was offered a 2-year contract extension by the blues, against the 3-year deal he desired.

According to ESPN, the Gunners have reportedly beaten the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United to sign the 31-year-old.

It has been reported that he will sign a three year deal with Arsenal with an option of another year to the contract.

Mike Arteta is keen to bolster his squad ahead of next season as he has his eyes set of former Liverpool star Philippe Countinho.

The winger may have played his last game for Frank Lampard’s side as he didn’t feature in their 2-1 loss to Arsenal last week Saturday due to injury.

Willian has been a key member of the club since he joined Chelsea for £30m in 2013 from Shakhtar Donetsk, scoring 37 goals in 234 Premier League appearances and helping his team win 2 league titles, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Europa League.
