Antonio Rudiger hints at Possible Chelsea exit amid contract standoff

Chelsea Centre back Antonio Rudiger has hinted that he might be not extend terms with the Chelsea and could seek an exit in the summer transfer window with his recent comments to Kicker.

Rudiger is involved in an extended contract with the Blues and with his current deal running for another year into the summer of 2022, there is speculation that the defender could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to Kicker, Rudiger reaffirmed his intentions of focusing on his contract standoff after the conclusion of this summer’s UEFA champions league with the player not making much of Thomas Tuchel’s recent remarks which displayed the Chelsea boss’s intentions of keeping him at the club.

“That’s nice and I’m happy too.

“You always make your decisions to some extent dependent on the coaching staff, but in the long term you can never rely on them anyway.

“After the European Championships, we can talk.”

The Blues are understood to be on the verge of losing another centre-back name in the squad in the form of Fikayo Tomori who has been at AC Milan in a loan deal since January and is believed to be a priority target for the Serie A giants.
