Adama Traore emerges as a surprise summer transfer target for Chelsea 1 Sportelo

Chelsea have reportedly shown interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traore as a surprise target for the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old Spaniard has endured a frustrating Premier League campaign in 2020-21 with only two goals and three assists – failing to score in the top tier until scoring the winner against Fulham on April 9.

Adama Traore’s performances improved towards the end of the season with rumours over his future has increasing as he enters the final two years of his Molineux contract.

According to The Telegraph, Thomas Tuchel has been handed a £200m transfer fee this summer and Traore features on Thomas Tuchel list of targets for the Champions League winners.

The report suggests that Tuchel values Traore’s qualities as a wing-back, but Wolves will not sanction an exit on the cheap, so Borussia Monchengladbach’s Jonas Hofmann has been identified as a potential alternative.

Traore has managed to found back of the net 10 times and provided 18 assists in 131 appearances for Wolves across all competitions, and he has been called up to the Spain national team for Euro 2020.
