Roman Abramovich “absolutely wants” Erling Haaland at Chelsea this summer and he will sign the Norwegian “at all costs”.
The 20-year-old striker, who has scored 27 goals in all competitions this season, has a £68m release clause, set to start in the summer of 2022.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb Haaland is the “first name Abramovich absolutely wants” to sign this summer to help the Premier League team get back to a “high standard in Europe.”
Haaland is a reported target of several top European clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Real Madrid.
And the report claims that it will be “next to impossible” for Chelsea to beat the competition for his signature in 2022, which is why the Blues will try to do so this summer.
Haaland will reportedly be the priority signing with a “huge” transfer pot of 300 million euros (259 million pounds) for the summer, even if Chelsea does not qualify for the Champions League.
