Rice has been linked to a move to the Blues in recent months after another impressive season with the Hammers which made him one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

Chelsea are believed to be ready to meet that starting price of £80 million this summer and strike a transfer deal, but both must wait until the European Championship for England is over.

But amid the speculation, The 22-year-old midfielder spoke about other players as well as himself being involved in transfer speculation and added that those potential deals can be sorted once the tournament has reached its conclusion next month.

“I’m not lying, I’ve not seen a thing. As players it would be disrespectful to speak about it around other players,” Rice said.

“There is speculation about players going but the main focus at the moment is your country, trying to win this tournament.

“If players want to move on, that can be dealt with after the tournament.

“While we’re here like Gareth has always said, you need to be strictly focused on what is happening here with England and whatever happens with the club takes care of itself after the tournament.”

Rice will hope to help England beat Germany at Wembley on Tuesday and book their place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020.
