
Super Eagles squandered a first half four goal lead allowing the Leon stars of Sierra Leone to bounce back in the African Cup of Nations qualifier causing Nigerian fans to react.
Teaming fans of the Super Eagles have expressed their anger after the Nigerian national team played out a 4-4 draw with the Leone Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin on Friday night.
The three times AFCON champions took the lead as early as the fourth minutes of the encounter.
Alex Iwobi was on hand to convert the Super Eagles first real opportunity of the match, Victor Osimhrn doubled the lead assisted by Zaidu Sanusi.
Iwobi scored his second and the Super Eagles third in just 27 minutes into the match. Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze made it four goals to nill, in the 30th minute.
it looked liked it was going to be an easy for Gernot Rohr’s men with four goal margin.
However, four minutes before the end of the first half the Leone star pulled one back four minutes before half-time through Kwame Quee.
A resurgent Serra Leone side started off the second half how they ended it with Al-Hadji Kamara making it 4-2 in the 72nd minute before Mustapha Bundu’s header in the 80th minute set up a nervy finish.
Four minutes to the final whistle Sierra Leone leveled the game 4-4 through a Kamara, header, his second for the night after and securing an all important point for the Leone stars.
Many Nigerian football fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment with the Super Eagles.

Following the 4-4 draw, the Super Eagles still top the table in group L of the Afcon qualifier with 7 points from after three matches.
The super Eagles will have an opportunity to recover from the disappointing result when they travel to Sierra Leone next week Thursday.
