
A disappointing night for Victor Osimhen after as he was sent off in Napoli’s 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League.
Napoli recovered from their shocking 1-0 home loss to Az Alkmaar on the opening day of the Europa League, to beat Spanish side Real Sociedad by the same margin at at the Anoeta Stadium on Thursday night.
Matteo Politano’s second-half strike was enough to secure all three points for Gennaro Gattuso’s men.
But, it was not all smiles for Napoli as they will have to play do with out their striker Victor Osimhen in their next encounter after he was sent off for a second bookable offence.

The former Lille forward was on the pitch for only 20 minutes before he was red-carded, for an elbow on Real Sociedad defender Robin Le Normand, having replaced Andrea Petagna in the 61st minute of the game.
Napoli will be without his services when they take on Rijeka in the Europa League next week, but he will be available the Gli Azzurri Serie A match against Sassuolo.
