Thomas Partey Arsenal: Arsenal have completed the signing of Thomas Partey after paying Atletico Madrid the €52.5m midfielder release clause.
The 27-year-old has been a major target for the gunners over the years, with him being the major target for the summer.
Partey was a key component of Coach Diego Simeone’s side but has grown frustrated over his low-wage pay compared to his teammates at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Ghanaian international is understood to have put pen to paper on a four-year deal worth £260,000-a-week, will bank a £2.5m signing-on fee, with his agent nets 10 percent commission.
Arsenal Manager has been eager to boost his midfield before the close of the transfer window and has seen the deal for Lyon’s Houssem Aouar fallen apart.
That made Thomas Partey their number one target before the end of 11 pm deadline for the transfer window.
It is understood that Partey has been a big fan of the premier league and did express his desire to play in England.
Partey came through the academy at Atletico and after going on two loan spells to Mallorca and Almeria he first broke into the first-team in the 2015/16 season.
