Chelsea are closing in on an £80m deal for the Bayern Leverkusen Midfielder Kai Havertz.
Premier League club Chelsea have reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.
The 21-year-old is desperate to depart Bayern Arena and is keen to settle his future swiftly after it was reported he told the Bundesliga club he wants to leave.
Bayern Leverkusen are understood to value Havertz at £90m but are willing to negotiate with only two years left in his current contract.
Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have been linked to with a move for thGermanan International but are not willing to pay the £90m asking price.
Chelsea are the only club willing to pay the £80 m price tag on the midfielder according to Athletic’s.
The Blues have already spent big this summer with the acquisition of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig for €53m and Ajax midfielder Hakim Ziyech for €40m.
If the big-money deal is to be completed the London club will have to let go of some of their big stars.
Harvetz scored 17 goals and 9 assists in 43 appearances across all competition for the Bundesliga club this season.
