Manchester United vs Chelsea: Chelsea to face Arsenal in the Finals of the FA Cup after 3-1 victory over Manchester United

Chelsea will face Arsenal in FA Cup final after 3-1 triumph over Manchester United on Sunday evening at the Wembley Stadium.

Manchester United had recorded three wins in previous meetings between both sides, but it was the blues who came out victorious this time around.

Olivier Giroud gave Frank Lampard’s side the lead 11 minute before the half time break after a cross from Cesar Azpilicueta, that  found the French man as he flicked the ball pass United goalkeeper David De Gea.

The Red Devils came out for  the second half hoping for improved performance to turn the tide.

However, just a minute into the restart of the second half, the Red Devils were down 2-0 through a Mason Mount Long-range shot that could have been stopped by fumbling De Gea.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer first defeat in 20 games was confirmed after Harry Maguire put the ball in the back of his net through a Marcos Alonso low cross.

United scored a consultation goal in the 86th minute through a penalty that was converted by Bruno Fernandes following a foul on Anthony Martial by Substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi

Manchester United only hope of a silverware now lies solely on the Europa League where they are through to the Quater final stage.

Chelsea will now confront Arsenal, who defeated Manchester City on Saturday, in the FA Cup final on August 1 in an all London derby.
