Ole Gunnar Solskjaer criticises Manchester United strikers after 3-0 win over Aston Villa

Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has criticised his forward for their poor finishing in Thursday’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa.

Bruno Fernandes open the scoring from the penalty spot after he was deemed to be fouled by Ezri Konsa, Mason Greenwood once on target again as he gave united a 2-0 lead.

Pogba added a third his first since the return of football amid the covid-19 as United became the first premier league team to score two or more goals in four premier league fixtures.
The win takes United to a point closer to 4th placed Leicester City who currently occupy the last Champions League spot.

However, Ole Gunnar Solakjaer speaking after the match said he expected his forward to be clinical.

“I don’t know about how other teams feel when they play us, but we scored three today.

“If we’re talking about goal difference then the defenders have done their jobs [with the clean sheet], but we created chances, and we could have scored three, four or five more.

“Of course you’re happy with how we create chances, but you have to be more clinical,” he said.

Manchester United will next take on South Hampton at the St Mary’s Stadium on Monday 13 July 2020.
